Blink-182 bassist and vocalist Mark Hoppus says he is ‘cancer free’

Blink-182 vocalist and bassist Mark Hoppus announced Wednesday that he’s “most cancers free,” six months after starting chemotherapy.

“Simply noticed my oncologist and I am most cancers free!!” Hoppus mentioned on Instagram and Twitter. “Thanks God and universe and family and friends and everybody who despatched help and kindness and love.”

Hoppus mentioned he’ll proceed to get scanned biannually.

The bassist-vocalist has been public about his most cancers prognosis and therapy.

He introduced in June that he had been present process chemotherapy for 3 months. “It sucks and I’m scared, and on the similar time I’m blessed with unimaginable docs and household and buddies to get me by this,” he wrote on the time.

Simply final week, Hoppus shared his discomfort with chemotherapy therapy in a tweet. “Rattling,” he wrote. “Getting pumped filled with poison each three weeks is my regular.”

The information of Hoppus’ announcement on Wednesday introduced a flood of congratulations on social media.

“Simply the perfect,” singer-songwriter John Mayer wrote within the feedback of Hoppus’ Instagram publish.

One Republic lead vocalist Ryan Tedder wrote “WWWWWWWWWW” in response to Hoppus’ request for “a W within the chat”

Actor Adam Devine, who spoke publicly about his father’s battle with most cancers, wrote “YES!!! Thank God!”
