Bowman hits back at viral Winnipeg-bashing U.S. weather report – Winnipeg

Winnipeg Mayor Brian Bowman has responded to a U.S. newsman’s criticism of Winnipeg

In 2014, Seth Denney, an anchor at NTV in Nebraska, discovered himself filling in for a climate report, when — in a now-viral video — he requested why anybody would wish to reside in Winnipeg.

On the eve of Denney’s retirement this week, Winnipeg’s mayor responded with a cheeky video of his personal, highlighting the town’s points of interest, in addition to “Nebraska’s biggest export” — Winnipeg Jets defenceman Neal Pionk.

The mayor’s workplace confirmed that Denney’s co-anchor at NTV had approached the town about some form of response to the Winnipeg feedback — which has apparently turn out to be a well-liked section amongst Nebraska viewers.

“I heard you had been retiring and so I needed to ship you some effectively needs,” Bowman stated within the video, ending with an invitation for Denney to go to the town… in February.
