Bridgewater-Raritan High School Officials Warn Parents About Potentially Dangerous ‘Killer’ Game

BRIDGEWATER, New Jersey (WABC) – School officials in a New Jersey town are warning parents that children’s play can have dangerous consequences.

Bridgewater-Raritan High School has been informed that some 12th graders have participated in a game called “Assassins”.

Officials said the students formed teams and participated in removing members from opposing teams with water guns and other paraphernalia.

Based on information the school has heard, some students wear ski masks and carry water guns when trying to surprise their opponents.

Games usually take place on evenings and weekends, as this activity is prohibited during school hours or on school grounds.

In a letter to parents of Bridgewater-Raritan High School, officials are asking parents to warn their children about the issue.

Officials say students have been participating in the game nationwide, and they fear any lifelike water guns could lead to dangerous encounters with police.
