Broken News’ first look is here. Zee5 has released the poster for the British Press TV series Press in Hindi. It marks the streaming platform’s first partnership with BBC Studios India – the BBC’s production and distribution arm. The first look introduces us to the cast of The Broken News, headed by Sonali Bendre, Jaideep Ahlawat and Shriya Pilgaonkar. The show marks Bendre’s debut on a subscription-based streaming service, commonly known as an OTT (over-the-top) service. Bendre says she chose The Broken News as a character that resonated with her.
Bendre said Midday“The first thing is that I like the script, the character I’m playing (in The Broken News) and what the show is saying. It resonates! The second part is, I’m in a phase of my life. live, where it says more about me, I have more time I want to do more and go back to work Although I worked, it was not a priority, it is now There’s so much fun going on, I feel a bit left out. Even I want to be a part of it.”
It is not yet known if The Broken News will help Bendre, who has acted in popular Hindi films like Action Man Aag and the TV series Zakhm in the 90s, to start her new innings a nice way or not.
In contrast, Pilgaonkar and Ahlawat are no strangers to the digital space. Pilgaonkar became famous when she played an important character in the action series Mirzapur. Similarly, Ahlawat has received critical acclaim for his work in the crime drama Paatal Lok and continue to appear in Zee5 Bloody Brothers series. In addition to the main trilogy, The Broken News Cast also features Indraneil Sengupta, Taaruk Raina, Aakash Khurana, and Kiran Kumar.
Not much is known about The Broken News story but we can expect it to be slightly different from the one featured in the Press, unlike the original – which involved print – this Explore the dark side of the medium of television. Furthermore, the plot will likely be tweaked to appeal to an Indian audience.
The Broken News release date has yet to be announced.
