Broncos fired HC Nathaniel Hackett

The Age of Nathaniel Hackett with Dancer broncos ended and it only lasted 15 games.

The Broncos announced on Monday that Hackett had been fired as the team’s head coach, less than 24 hours after they were humiliated by the Los Angeles Rams won only four games all season and competed without some top players.

Replacing Hackett after the season seems a real possibility given how badly the 2022 campaign has gone in Denver. But not even getting through a whole season is a damning indictment of how bad it is.

Sunday’s loss in Los Angeles was clearly too big for ownership. Not only did they lose 51-14, but the broadcast caught a fight between the team’s attacking line-up and midfield on the sidelines, while defensive midfielder Randy Gregory sparred after the game.

Early in the year, Hackett seemed to have pushed his limits when he made some glaring mistakes in game management and in-game decisions. But the team showed no sign of progress all season and made one of the league’s worst mistakes despite paying a heavy price (in commercial capital and money) to acquire winger Russell. Wilson from the Seattle Seahawks.

Now, the Broncos are stuck in a position where they have to re-enter the head coach market, have a potential albatross contract with Wilson, and won’t even get the top draft pick. to make up for a bad season on the field.

The most popular coaching contender on the market will be Sean Payton, but the Broncos will need to offer some sort of draft pick compensation to get his rights from the New Orleans Saints (and their draft capital already). exhausted due to the Wilson transaction) and it also needs to be a really lucrative job for Payton.
