Buccaneers Wide Receiver Russell Gage hospitalized
Russell Gage, a wide receiver for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, is in the hospital after a neck injury on the field.
Russell Gage was fired by Donovan Wilson in the Playoffs
The incident happened during a game between the Buccaneers and the Dallas Cowboys on Monday night. In the fourth round of the high-stakes knockout, Russell was hit by a blow from Donovan Wilson and he was unable to get up after that.
As a result, Russell was taken off the field on a spinal plank.

Hope the injury is not serious
By video, don’t worry about being paralyzed
Also don’t see how he’s allowed to get up if he’s worried about his spinal cord
Hope he’s fine. pic.twitter.com/aMfx5v8doy– David J. Chao – ProFootballDoc (@ProFootballDoc) January 17, 2023

Prayers for Russell quickly began to pour in, and people also began to criticize Donovan for acting like this in the first place.
Donovan Wilson with a cheap shot to Gage’s neck. What a filthy disgusting play by Wilson.

It was an unnecessary blow from Donovan Wilson. You are leading 31-6 and about to head

Russell Gage hospitalized just two weeks after Damar Hamlin collapsed
News of Russell’s hospitalization comes shortly after the safety of the Buffalo Bills, Damar Hamlin, faced serious fears about his own health.
Like Shade room reported earlier this month, Damar collapsed in a January 2 game against the Cincinnati Bengals. He eventually went into cardiac arrest and was treated at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
Damar Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest after a blow during our match against the Bengal team. His heart rate was restored on the field and he was transported to UC Medical Center for further examination and treatment. He is currently being sedated and listed in critical condition.
