Bulls’ Zach LaVine Reportedly Wants Trade With Lakers
A two-time All-Star who just signed a major contract extension this summer is said to be hoping for a move to the Los Angeles Lakers soon.
After a bad start to the season, the Lakers are slowly returning to the knockout stages as they finish midway through the 2022-2023 season. They are on a 13-18 difference, 2.5 games out of the last two places of the NBA play-in tournament, and a game over 0.500 in their last 15.
Their improved gameplay in the last month has been reported motivated the front office to look for some blockbuster moves ahead of the NBA deal deadline. The recent injury of superstar Anthony Davis only adds to the desire for it to happen soon.
As the Chicago Bulls continued on their path to an unexpected losing season, they were identified as possible commercial partners for the Lakers. While All-Star Zach LaVine may not be an option this season in the eyes of an NBA executive, the groundwork for LaVine to bring his talent to LA next season has already been laid.
