Incumbent Calgary metropolis council candidate Sean Chu is dealing with backlash from a CBC News story that focuses on an internal misconduct investigation that was executed when Chu was a Calgary Police Service officer in 1997.
The CBC story alleges he had inappropriate contact with a minor.
Chu launched an announcement in response to the story: “As lots of you should have heard, there are critical allegations being made publicly towards me primarily based on a CBC Information story that was launched on Friday. These allegations misrepresent the reality of the matter and are available at a time meant to harm me essentially the most on this marketing campaign.”
World Information has been unable to confirm the findings of the inner misconduct evaluation.
