Calgary defenceman Rasmus Andersson fined $5,000 for roughing Edmonton’s Yamamoto
Calgary Flames defenseman Rasmus Andersson has been fined $5,000 for roughing Edmonton Oilers ahead Kailer Yamamoto.
Andersson was fined the utmost allowable beneath the collective bargaining settlement between the NHL and the Gamers’ Affiliation.
The cash goes to the gamers’ emergency help fund.
Andersson was assessed minor penalties for each roughing and elbowing at 14:33 of the primary interval Saturday in Edmonton.
The Flames misplaced their season-opener 5-2 to the Oilers.
