When we consider fabric flowers back in January 2021 we weren’t very impressed. It’s true that the cute cat cafe simulation has a few good things going for it, but the game is beset by bugs and glitches that make the experience a bit down. Now, developer Peachy Keen Games and publisher Whitethorn Games have announced that the game is receiving a significant new update that attempts to fix some of these issues and add more content besides. .
The ‘Pawsome Edition’ update (see what they did there?) is now on Switch, and there’s bound to be a lot of additions this time around. In addition to the UI and visual “overhaul”, the update also adds new mini-games to the baking aspect, new animals to kidnap apply to your coffee shop environment and more customization tools for the cafe itself.
The new cooking mini-game is perhaps the biggest change here, with a focus on timing and accuracy that will directly affect your selling price. For more details on this new addition, check out the following from Whitethorn Games:
The cooking that players already know and love is now expanded! Each recipe now comes with its own series of mini-games to perform in the kitchen. A new system for selling food in the cafe has also been added; Timing and precision in formula minigames will award the player a gold, silver or bronze star, which will provide different rewards for the selling price. But be careful: once the customer has bought all the fresh food, the star bonus will disappear until that recipe is played again.
We haven’t had a chance to try this new update yet, so can’t comment on how far it will go to fix some of the major issues we found with the game last year at launch. . Now it’s in a much better state.
