Call of Duty’s General Shepherd reads meaningful Tweets
General Shepherd is one of the most notorious villains of the Call of Duty series, and people aren’t afraid to express their opinions about him on social media. However, they probably didn’t expect voice actor Glenn Morshower, who plays the character in the rebooted Modern Warfare games, to respond to their malicious tweets.
In the clip above, posted by the UK-based Call of Duty account, Shepherd reads and responds to several malicious tweets, including one calling him “sus AF”. Another Twitter user celebrated one of their favorite moments from Modern Warfare 2, including one where Captain Price “Modern Warfared on General Shepherd.” So beautiful.
As with many characters in the Modern Warfare series, there are actually two versions of General Shepherd, one from the original and one from the reboot. The original Shepherd is much more openly villainous than his reboot, going so far as to personally kill the player’s friends in one of the game’s biggest twists. While the Shepherd reboot also betrays the player, he is like a backstage character.
In other Call of Duty news, recent data mining suggests that Activision may delay the launch of Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2. Season 2 beyond the scheduled date 1/2. that update is expected to bring new weapons to the game, as well as a new Resurgence map.
