On March 21, 2023, Litten will be noticed in Pokémon go, and you’ll get double Stardust for catching Pokémon. And no, Litten can’t shine in Pokémon go(Not yet)!
Just like how Rowlet was the star of last week’s Spotlight Hour, Litten is this week’s star. Again, it’s not available shiny, and it’s possible it will make its shiny debut on Community Day – which is quite a long way off, if we judge by the fact that we only just started in the Kalos . region.
You should try to get a high IV Litten and stop evolving it until future Community Days. During that event, Litten will likely learn Blast Burn as it evolves, which will likely be one of its best attacks.
Pokémon is about catching them all, and in Pokémon go, that means catching every variant, including rare shiny versions of Pokémon. Every Tuesday in Pokémon go, players will see a specific Pokémon spawn more often during Highlight Time, which runs from 6pm to 6:59pm local time. Spotlight now is your chance to load up candies, your chances of getting high CP Pokémon, and if you’re lucky, you’ll get shiny Pokémon.
Does shiny rate increase in Highlight Hour?
Shiny rate doesn’t seem to be increased during Highlight Hour, based on data collected by the Pokémon community The Silph Road. However, the large number of Pokémon that spawn during the hour-long weekly event will give you an improved chance of clicking on a random ball of light. The more Pokémon you click, the more chances you have of catching a shiny Pokémon.
What can I do to attract more shiny Pokémon?
Not much, unfortunately. It seems to be random chance. Shiny Pokémon catch rates are set by developer Niantic, and they’re usually only increased during special events like Community Day or the Safari Zone, or during Legendary Raid. There are no consumables that increase the odds of shiny Pokémon.
