Canada has proposed to adjust the electric vehicle tax policy with the US to resolve the dispute
OTTAWA – Canada has proposed aligning its electric vehicle tax policy with that of the United States to resolve a dispute over proposed US credits for US-made vehicles, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau told reporters on Monday.
Canada got tough on Washington on Friday, threatening to impose tariffs on a range of American goods unless the matter is resolved. Ottawa says the credits will take a heavy toll on its auto industry.
This is a breaking news update. More will come.
