Canadian ink partners with Pfizer, Merck for COVID-19 antiviral drug
OTTAWA – The federal government has signed an agreement with Pfizer and Merck to purchase their antiviral drug, pending product approval from Health Canada.
Public Services and Procurement Minister Filomena Tassi said Ottawa has ordered one million antiretroviral pills from Pfizer and 500,000 pills from Merck, with the option of 500,000 more.
Tassi made the announcement during a press conference on Friday.
