Cases of Centaurus Subvariant COVID-19 have been reported
In Moscow, five cases of the Omicron BA.2.75 COVID-19 sub-warship, also known as “Centaurus”, were recorded.
Rospotrebnadzor said the samples were taken in July in Moscow, adding that the patients were all mildly infected with the virus and had not been hospitalized.
“Centaurus” was first discovered in May in India.
‘Five genomic sequences assigned to the subvariable BA.2.75 of the Omicron strain were added to the VGARus (Russian Agency for Viral Genome Synthesis) database.’
