If I had to write a list of all the reasons why I love one little black dress, you’ll be here to read until 2023. And it turns out this seemingly magical essential has more uses than Sunday brunch or impromptu dinner dates. As 64th Annual Grammy Awards Starting off, LBD also created a damn red carpet look. A parade of black dresses took the ceremony by storm this year, with celebrities like Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, Lady Gaga and Olivia Rodrigo sporting quirky and casual outfits.
For starters, Eilish donned a black Rick Owens dress that was designed as an oversize suit inside and out, outfitted with mini sunglasses and platform boots to match. It’s the refined aesthetic you’d expect from Owens, and as Eilish wears all black right now, the look fits the recent Oscar winner perfectly.
Meanwhile, Rodrigo’s involvement on LBD falls on the sweeter side of the spectrum, featuring pink embellishments that accentuate the corset shape of Vivienne Westwood’s gown. The Sour The singer’s coordinated opera gloves also provide some solid styling inspiration for the next time you find yourself wearing a little black dress. Lipa surrounded the unofficial LBD fan club, walking the red carpet in a Versace mini dress.
