Celtics’ Jaylen Brown to leave with ankle sprain vs. Hawks
Jaylen Brown Later Boston Celtics out of the locker room on Tuesday against the Atlanta Hawks with an ankle injury and to exclude, to expel for the rest of the game with what the team calls a sprain.
Brown, 25, was injured while driving up the basket and stepping on the foot of Hawks ‘De’Andre Hunter.
Brown has averaged 23.7 points, 3.3 assists and 6.3 rebounds for the Celtics this season. Before that, he missed eight games in November and five games in December while facing a hamstring injury.
The Celtics were one of the hottest teams in the NBA in February with a 9-2 record, though they ended the month with a decisive 128-107 loss to the Indiana Pacers on Sunday. It was the first time Boston allowed more than 112 points in a game since Christmas.
