Chainsaw Man creator released his Goobye, Eri one shot for free
Tatsuki Fujimoto, creator popular comics Chainsaw Manreleased a new shot of him Goodbye, Eri on Sunday. At the time of publication, the 200-page manga is available to read for free on Viz’s website – but it may soon pass the toll wall.
Interested readers should not wait on WOODoodbyewhich tells the life of a budding boy and filmmaker named Yuta and his friendship with a movie buff named Eri. The heartbreaking story begins when Yuta films his mother in the final months of her life with a terminal illness. As the story progresses, it becomes more and more like a dream, as the reader pairs what is in the story and what is not.
Fujimoto’s work has taken the anime and manga world by storm. He published another short, Look back, in summer 2021 – a beautiful depiction of the youthful lives of two aspirational mangakas. Fujimoto announced at Jump Festa that the second part of his bloody action series, Chainsaw Man, will be published in the summer of 2022. An anime based on the manga of the same name is also in the works from Studio Mappaand is expected to be released later this year.
