Halle Berry, guest in this episode of The Hollywood Reporter‘S Chat Award podcast, recorded in front of students at Chapman University, was a Hollywood pioneer – a great actress, one of the first Black Bond girls, who was the female superhero in comics-film first black person and who still is to this day only Black won the Oscar for best actress. While she’s also an Emmy, Golden Globe, and Screen Actors Guild winner, she’s not one to rest on her laurels and she recently marked her 30th year. in her business career by doing something she had never done before: directing – namely, directing Bruises, a Netflix show in which she also plays an MMA fighter who has problems at home. During its first week on the streamer, it was the most watched series on the platform in the US and in 20 other countries.
