Few teams have found a way to prevent European champions and Premier League leaders Chelsea from succeeding this year. That is the task facing an empty Manchester United team arriving at Stamford Bridge under an interim manager and having only one win in their last seven matches.
The Reds, in 10th place and 12 points behind Chelsea, will try to do the feat without much of a start with the likes of Paul Pogba, Harry Maguire and Raphael Varane absent. And in late squad news, Cristiano Ronaldo will come off the bench. Man United will be happy to leave London with a draw as they try to make their way back into the table and battle for a top four finish and Champions League spot.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are marking a 4-0 Champions League win over Juventus in midweek and with star striker Romelu Lukaku back from the bench. Chelsea drop deep, and Timo Werner will start as a central striker; American attacker Christian Pulisic will be on the bench.
Sporting News will follow the match live and provide score updates, commentary and highlights as they happen.

Thomas Tuchel in the Manchester United starting line-up faces #Chelsea:
“They have changed a little bit. It looks like Bruno Fernandes will play as a false nine, let’s see. We also have some options to react.”
