KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A young girl with serious injuries after being found in a swimming pool in Oceans of Fun has died.
Cedar Fair Entertainment, which owns the theme park complex, confirmed the news to KCTV5 on Tuesday morning:
According to a statement from a park spokesperson, a lifeguard was “responsive to a young female guest in distress in the Coconut Cove pool.”
Lifeguards were able to pull her out of the water and the park’s EMS workers started CPR. Soon after, the Kansas City Fire Department arrived to continue her care and took her to a local hospital.
Law enforcement declared the girl 10 years younger.
