Child found: Boy goes missing after falling asleep in carpool to be reunited with parents, police say


CHICAGO (WLS) – A 9-year-old boy has been found safe after he was allegedly left behind during a sharing Sunday night.

The boy and his parents were customers in a freight train. When they arrived at their destination in the 2600 block of West Huron Street around 7:30 p.m., the parents are said to have stepped out of their car, retrieved their luggage and went inside the West Town property, scene reported. close said.

Police added that the child was left in the car while sleeping.

The driver then drove off with the sleeping child in an unknown direction.

Detectives are still investigating and no other information is available at this time.
