Christina Applegate Shares A Message On Her 50th Birthday After Her MS Diagnosis
Applegate celebrated its 50th birthday on Thanksgiving Day with a message for its fans on Twitter. “That’s right. I turn 50 today. And I got my MS. It was a tough process,” she wrote.
“Sending a lot of love to all of you today,” Applegate continued. “Many people are injured today, and I’m thinking of you. May we find that strength to hold our heads high. Mine is on my pillow right now. But I try.”
Multiple sclerosis affects the central nervous system. It is considered an autoimmune disease in which the immune system attacks its own healthy cells. It affects quality of life and can be disabling.
In his announcement earlier this year, the actor known for his roles in “Bad Moms”, “Married… with Children” and “Dead to Me” shared that it is not easy living together. with this disease.
“But I’ve had so much support that I know everyone has it,” says Applegate. “It’s been a tough road. But as we all know, the road goes on.”
There is no cure for multiple sclerosis – known as MS – but many people are able to manage their symptoms and adapt to a new lifestyle after diagnosis.
