Every Christmas, the Kennebunk Spin Club organizes a holiday party for children in need, and through the party a new organization has been formed to help meet the year-round need. “There are 364 other days in the year,” said the CS3 colleague. One of those ways is by having a positive experience with the members of our community,” says MacKenzie. After those meetings, CS3 was born.
“Strong community, strong character, strong kids,” says Kraft-Angelos.
The organization has raised money so that children have new clothes, bikes, backpacks and food to go to school.
“Children should have fun in their lives, and many of these kids are not because of circumstances,” says Maynard.
This year, CS3 partnered with the Kennebunk Police Department. Sheriff Robert MacKenzie wants to educate adults about substance use disorder and give children a sense of hope, so they don’t return to it.
“People need to know what can be done to our youth, so we need to figure out what we can do to combat that. One of those ways is by having a positive experience with members of our community,” says MacKenzie.
