Ciara wears hooded cape to Black Music Collective
Ciara is back. The “Better Thangs” singer showed off her skin in a backless dress at the Recording Academy’s Black Music Collective event on February 2 before the Grammy Awards. Ciara’s black velvet dress from Kwame Adusei featured a classic column silhouette and integrated hood which makes her platinum gold finger ripples unique. The hood forms a neckline and drapes over Ciara’s shoulders like a shawl. The rest of the form-fitting design is minimalist by comparison.
Ciara paired the dress with edgy accessories, including a metallic gold glove on one of her arms and custom Greg Lauren jewelry. Her stylist, Elly Karamoh, focused most of the attention on the outfit itself, but the red nails and black smoky eye made up the finishing touch. On the carpet, the glamorous silhouette of the look stands out in every way best as Ciara turns around to show off her revealing low back.
While hers is certainly a memorable one, Ciara is one of many celebrities wearing dramatic dress trends recently: Jenna Ortega previously stepped out in an open back dress with own luxury hood, Lori Harvey wear a red hooded design to Beyoncé’s party, Margot Robbie wear a hood for the “Babylon” premiere, and Ashley Graham attended a Time magazine event in a complete outfit.
