After a two-year hiatus, Coachella will return to Palm Springs kicking off the 2022 festival season with fervor. The stage will bring a lot of attractive fashion with artists like the perfect dressers Harry Styles, Billie Eilish in all her ’90s-inspired glory, and City Girls in red from head to toe. But it’s the everyday attendees who have the looks that will set the stage for festive style trends – this summer and beyond. For Coachella 2022, the photographer Hunter Darrel was on hand to document street style on the festival grounds as well as at events organized by Revolve, H&M and Monica Hansen Beachwear.
While Coachella’s classic aesthetic remains intact – think bohemian flourishes, beach staples and western-inspired boots – 2022 is bringing new energy to the world. a fashion industry has become stale. “Happiness“Undoubtedly, the inspiration behind a wide range of colorful makeup looks, and 2000s-inspired makeup looks are as popular as the brushes.
Crochet are also dominating the fashion landscape, materializing in rainbow printed crop tops and monochrome fringed dresses. Pearls are another refreshing proposition, with the delicate gem appearing on mesh skirts, chain belts, hair clips and Pretty connectedvirus masks and phone chains.
Popular festival clothing brands run the gamut from Free People to Farm Rio, H&M to Revolve. The accessories, though, are luxuries. Festival-goers stepped out in an eye-catching neon Bottega Veneta necklace bag; Chanel pearl necklace, backpack and boots; Gold YSL logo earrings; and sunglasses by Burberry, Gucci and Miu Miu.
As for footwear, everyone’s focused on comfort – a long-term isolation trend – with white sneakers, cowboy boots, and even casual winter Uggs. That’s not to say you don’t often see brown strappy sandals or metallic heels paired with a mini dress to really make the shoe shine.
