second season of Call of the Mission: Warzone 2 And Modern War 2 added a crossbow weapon as a reward for completing the season’s limited-time Path of the Ronin event. Here, we will guide you through completing all the necessary challenges to unlock the new crossbow.
What is the path of the Ronin event?
In keeping with the season’s Japanese theme with the Ashik Island map and Ronin moderator, Season 2 added Ronin’s Path as a limited-time event. This resembles previous Call of Duty seasonal events with a series of challenges to complete across multiplayer and Warzone 2.
The challenges are based on the Seven Virtues of the samurai: Integrity, Respect, Courage, Honor, Compassion, Sincerity and Loyalty. Each challenge comes with a reward on completion, such as XP or weapon enchantments.
You’ll need to complete all seven of the event’s challenges to unlock the crossbow as the ultimate reward.
Challenge the Path of the Ronin event
Integrity challenge:
Multiplayer: Win 15 matches in any of the Multiplayer modes.
Battlefield 2: Get the Top 10 finish year.
The best advice for multiplayer or battle royale is to team up with friends. Team Deathmatch will be faster than some objective modes, but you’ll want to make sure you have teammates that will help you out.
Honor Challenge:
Multiplayer: Get 100 target defense kills.
Battlefield 2: Collect your dog tag (Restore Honor) 5 times.
For multiplayer, Hardpoint and Domination are the best modes to complete this challenge. Just sit on Hard Points or Domination Points and kill as many lives as you can.
In Warzone 2, Honor Restore is the new feature that drops your dog’s card upon death, so you’ll want to return to your dead spot after respawning in battle. Just check for any enemies that might be nearby before taking your card.
Honesty Challenge:
Multiplayer: Get 50 operator kills with Battle Rage.
Battlefield 2: Complete five Assassination Contracts.
For multiplayer, you’ll want a melee weapon, such as a submachine gun or shotgun to pair with the Battle Rage. The wording says “murder operator”, so you’ll need to make sure your killer is a human opponent and not an AI enemy in Invasion mode.
For Assassination Contracts, this would be best done in a trio or team to improve your odds. If anyone on your team wins the right to be eliminated, that will count towards your challenge progress.
The remaining challenges will be unlocked in the next 6-13 days.
Crossbow details
After completing all seven challenges, the crossbow will be unlocked for you. This weapon is described as silent, agile and customizable. The crossbow’s standard 20″ pegs are regenerable, and they are also undetectable by the enemy loot system.
Shop Packages
While not currently available in the store, the Crossbow will be available for purchase in Season 2 with the Tracer Pack: Ballistic Love Pack. This Cupid themed pack will feature a Snacks for Reyes operator skin, two holiday themed weapon blueprints, a vehicle skin, etc.
