Coming from far away will give its final performance on Broadway on October 2, making it the third film to announce closure in recent days.
The musical, featuring books, music and lyrics by Irene Sankoff and David Hein, opened at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theater in March 2017. The critically-acclaimed production posted good pre-pandemic sales, but like others that have recently posted closing announcements, have seen steady declines in grosses and attendance this season.
