Coroner Inquest is set in the shooting of a black Bourbon man | Headline News St. Louis


CRAWFORD COUNTY, Mo. (KMOV.com) – The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Tuesday’s coroner’s investigation into the death of a Filipino and black Bourbon man.

It’s been more than two months since the Crawford County government initially reported a man implicated in the fatal shooting of a neighbor at a Bourbon trailer park.

Authorities reported that Justin King’s neighbors shot him dead in self-defense. The local Missouri branch of the NAACP and the King family held a press conference demanding that allegation of the death be brought.

Now the coronation officer’s inquest will take place at 9 a.m. Tuesday.

Lakewood Truck Park manager Lesa Stiller said she heard gunfire that killed Justin King on November 3.



Attorneys for the King family say the inquest is one in which six county residents will review evidence to help the coroner determine the manner of death.

John King told News 4. “To me, it felt like a cop out.” conduct the investigator’s investigation. “

The Crawford County prosecution attorney told News 4 that the outcome of the investigation will affect the decision to file charges.
