COVID-19 vaccination rooms to be held at Waterloo Region schools in December
Waterloo Region said it has partnered with the local school board in developing COVID-19 vaccination rooms that will be operational during and after school next month for children aged 5-11.
The district said parents may find that the clinics, which will operate at schools in the Waterloo Area School Board and the Waterloo Area Catholic School Board, can make vaccinations easier. because they will take place in a familiar environment.

It says parents and older siblings will also be allowed to get the first and second doses at the clinics.
After-school immunization clinics will take place from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at St. Peter’s School in Cambridge on December 2, Wilson Avenue Public Schools in Kitchener on December 9 and 14, and at Sunnyside Public Schools in Kitchener on December 15 and December 16.

All-day immunization clinics will operate from 9:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. scheduled for three Kitchener schools including Queensmount Public Schools on December 4, St. Bernadette on December 19 and 20 and Catholic St. Anne. Schools on December 21 and December 22 as well as at Linwood Public Schools in Linwood on December 23.

The district did not say why the schools were chosen to host the clinics.
