COVID: Stop using vaccines for domestic travel
The federal government will announce tomorrow that vaccination duties for domestic travel on planes and trains, as well as international travel, will be suspended as of Wednesday. Senior government sources told CTV News.
Foreign nationals coming to Canada will still need to be vaccinated.
The regulations first went into effect on October 30, 2021, and require all passengers on an airplane or train to be fully vaccinated to be allowed on board.
These mandates have been the subject of heavy criticism from the Conservative Party of Canada in the House of Commons in recent months.
