Cowboys’ Sam Williams in legal trouble as Plano Police issue arrest warrant over rookie’s alleged role in violent car crash

The Plano Police Department has issued an arrest warrant for Dallas Cowboys linebacker Sam Williams for his alleged role in a car crash in December, according to TMZ.

Although no further details were available, Plano Police told TMZ that the misdemeanor warrant was for reckless driving. A spokesman said that “at this time there are no plans to find and arrest” Williams as the 23-year-old footballer “has been contacted to turn himself in.”

On December 22, the player crashed his black Corvette into another vehicle, leaving debris on the road and causing serious damage. No one involved in the accident was injured.

In a later statement about the incident, the player said he was grateful to still be alive. “You’re looking at the car like, man, but God works in mysterious ways. I knew he had something for me.”

It’s unclear if a defensive finish is available for the Cowboys’ Monday knockout game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Plano near Frisco, where the Cowboys are headquartered. Although police said at the time that no alcohol or drugs were the cause of the incident, his reckless driving appeared to be the reason for the crash.

Both sides went to the hospital but no one was seriously injured.

What is Sam Williams doing for the Cowboys?

He is an important piece of the defence, with four on the ball and nine in midfield in just 15 games. He also never played more than 50% of the saves in a game.

His immediate impact has been of great help to Cowboyswho is in need someone who surpasses another superstar next Randy Gregory’s departure in the season. If Sam clears up the legal issues and plays to his full potential, he will be a very important piece of the puzzle for Dallas when it comes to signing a cheap rookie contract.

He just needs to gather his off-the-field things together. He fell into the draft due to some character issues. Missing a knockout because of an arrest warrant won’t do him any good.
