“In developing an artistic path for students to explore their budding areas of expertise while sharing the joy and passion of their work with others, this picture book project combines elements of STEAM into a productive, coherent, and enjoyable project for writing first-year courses with benefits for students and the community that extend far beyond the college classroom,” Tamara Pearson, then associate director of school and community engagement at the Center for the Integration of Science, Mathematics, and Computing at Georgia Tech, who co-authored chapters and organized readings for students young.
