Dallas Cowboys fans burst with joy after thrilling win over Philadelphia Eagles to keep NFC East hopes alive
The Dallas Cowboys just got an all-out win. They still face an uphill battle if they want to usurp the NFC East lead from the Philadelphia Eagles, but a 40-34 win on Christmas Eve extended their chances by at least another week.
The Cowboys got all they could handle from the Jalen Hurts-less Eagles, but the win saw them knocked out by two games against Philadelphia with two games left this season.
Getting to the Super Bowl is a tough task, but it’s even harder as a Wild Card. The odds of winning a home knockout without winning the division are pretty low, so the Cowboys know what’s at stake.
It took a lot of effort, but the Cowboys survived in the NFC East and at least gave another team a chance to land the NFC top seed from Philadelphia.
Understandably Cowboys fans were ecstatic at the win, even if it had to come up against a fallback. The Eagles’ first win over Dallas came without Dak Prescott, so the two teams are playing very well.
Either way, they were delighted with their team’s performance tonight.
Victory may have come to a backup midfielderbut they all count the same and they may charge a little more at the end of this season.
How can the Dallas Cowboys win the NFC East?
Even after the clutch victory, the Dallas Cowboys faced an uphill and unlikely battle to win their division. They have a two-man lead with two games left, which means their road to the NFC East crown is simple.
They have to win and they need the Eagles to lose. The Cowboys beat the Tennessee Titans 7-8 next week, the team is surprisingly second in the AFC South and in desperate need of a win.
They will end the season with a 7-7-1 . formation Commander Washingtonwho might be in dire need of that win to make it to the knockout stages.
The Eagle will end with 6-9 New Orleans Saints and 8-6-1 New York Giants. They only need one win to claim the split and can claim the top seed in NFC with the same.
