Something apocalyptic is about to appear in the first trailer for M. Night Shyamalan Knock at the Cabin.
In the first part, which is almost three minutes long, watch the upcoming Universal Pictures film directed by Old and Maid Hosts, Jonathan Groff and Ben Aldridge play fathers who take their daughter (Kristen Cui) on a trip to a cabin in the woods.
But as the whole family settles down, their relaxing jungle getaway turns into something of a nightmare as the four – played by Dave Bautista, Rupert Grint, Nikki Amuka-Bird and Abby Quinn – come knock on the door and take them hostage. And the reason they’re there may be scarier than the predicament they’re in.
Four guests have come to avert the apocalypse, and the family of three will have to make a tough choice to avert the apocalypse. While the trailer offers a little more than the basic plot – including the story’s stunning yet eerie location and a glimpse of its familiar cast – the first, in-the-moment look. Shymalan way, teasing something bizarre (and twisted).
The film is produced by Universal Pictures in association with Blinding Edge Pictures, FilmNation Features and Wishmore Entertainment. Based on best-selling books Cabin at the end of the world by Paul Tremblay, Knock at the Cabin co-written by Shyamalan, Steve Desmond and Michael Sherman.
The film is produced by Shyamalan, Marc Bienstock and Ashwin Rajan with Steven Schneider, Christos V. Konstantakopoulos and Ashley Fox serving as executive producers.
Knock at the Cabin will hit theaters on February 3, 2023.
