DC Senior President and General Manager Daniel Cherry III Leaving DC – The Hollywood Reporter
Daniel Cherry III, senior vp and general manager of DC, has resigned, multiple sources say The Hollywood Reporter.
The reason for the withdrawal, described as “quitting the job”, is not clear. Cherry was at the helm for less than two years, joining in September 2020. Dan DiDio.

Cherry reported to Warner Bros. global brands. and president of experience Pam Lifford, and heads editorial business affairs, talent services, marketing, sales, branding, and direct-to-consumer for DC. He also oversees the company’s business development with chief executive Anne DePies.
Cherry joined when DC was in rebuilding mode and one of his goals was to “future-proof” the company with one of the goals being to increase its global reach. It’s unclear how successful his initiatives are, but sources say DC already has a banner in 2021 thanks to its editorial initiatives and interest in its publishing lines. ask for a favor Suicide Squad movie, Sweet teeth series and Sand sellers Adaptive sound, among others.
It’s still unclear where Cherry will land, though the comics blog is speculating that it’s a collaboration with Kanye West.
The CEO entered the comics business from the video game business, where he acted as chief marketing officer of Activision Blizzard Esports. Prior to that, he was the director of marketing and innovation for the New Jersey Devil’s NHL franchise.
