Deadly 20000 km high solar tornado erupts on the Sun! If the Earth were closer, it would be destroyed

A 20000 km high solar cyclone has been detected by an astrophysicist soaring above our Sun. Earth would be destroyed if it got any closer to it.

A giant tornado of solar plasma particles has been captured by an astrophysicist from the Sun’s surface. This is called a Solar Tornado. It is very large and reaches 20000 km (12000 mi) above the Sun. A video by astrophysicist Apollo Laski in Naperville, Illinois, USA, captures the moment of death. This incredible tornado video footage shows the tornado creeping up from the surface of the Sun.

According to Spaceweather.com, astrophysicist Lasky recorded the incident on June 21. This plasma ejection from the Sun’s surface is part of a ‘solar storm system’. This is such a huge solar vortex that if the Earth were closer to it, it would be destroyed in seconds! Thankfully, the solar plasma launch was not directed towards Earth. Lasky used a backyard solar telescope to capture this solar flare event, as reported by SpaceWeather.com.

How do solar tornadoes happen?

Solar cyclones are essentially spiral-shaped magnetic field structures that emerge from the Sun’s surface and take root in the Sun’s surface at both ends causing it to swirl like a tornado. When a short burst of plasma is inside this structure, it moves along with the structure’s torsion magnetic field. This is what causes the plasma to rotate and form a spiral.

Just a few days ago, a giant sunspot AR3038 was found on the surface of the Sun that further raised scientists’ interest. Scientists from the US space agency NASA are keeping a close eye on it as it heads straight towards Earth. Not only that, but scientists are concerned about its ever-growing size. Since this sunspot is directly facing the earth, it is possible that it could cause the sun’s rays to shoot towards us.
