dead man 3 Director Shawn Levy has always intended to maintain the level of carnage fans have come to expect from the first two installments of the Ryan Reynolds-led series.
Levy has released an update for collider about working with Reynolds and screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick on season three Deadpool the movie that will finally bring the mouth-watering superhero into Disney’s Marvel Cinematic Universe and is slated for release on November 8, 2024. Levy is a newcomer to the franchise and follows Tim Miller, who directed the hugely successful 2016 original, and David Leitch, who directed the 2018 sequel.
“We are writing, rewriting, developing, preparing Deadpool now every day,” Levy said. “It’s great to laugh every day. It’s fun to hear and write and come up with scenes where people just say obscene things. And the violence shows on your face and the hardiness, and it’s very one Deadpool movie.”
Filmmaker who recently directed Reynolds in Free guy and Project Adam, noting that having Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine in the mix added to his enjoyment. Levy also confirmed that the film is likely to start shooting around May 2023, and that he and Reynolds want the character to remain as “raw, gritty, grounded” as ever.
“I’m having so much fun, and I haven’t even gotten on the set yet,” Levy said. “I must say, developing a Deadpool the movie was one of the most enjoyable creative experiences of my life because it’s not only rated R. It’s also filled with self-awareness and that makes writing very, very enjoyable. in a way that is unique to that series.”
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige previously said Hollywood Reporter that the third installment will be an opportunity to expand on the previous two Deadpool film. “How do we enhance it the way we were able to do with civil war and Infinity War and Ragnarok?” Feige said. “It was a pleasure to be part of the world of the Ryan Reynolds show.”
