As Deion Sanders, aka Coach Prime, prepares to bid farewell to Jackson State University, he ensures that the school’s new head coach of the football team will be warmly received.
Prime Ushers In TC Taylor Coach: ‘You Deserve It!’
On Tuesday, Deion shared a video to his Instagram showing him and the JSU team welcoming TC Taylor, the new coach, with open arms.
Upon entering a group meeting, TC received a wave of cheers and excited applause. Amidst the hype, Coach Prime and other staff members came forward to hug TC and give him congratulatory compliments.
The new coach then took the opportunity to speak in front of the team. In his heartfelt speech, TC—who graduated from JSU in 2005, according to TMZ—talked about how this opportunity was a dream come true.
“Ever since I joined the training, this [has been] a dream of mine, man. And to have this opportunity, to lead a place where I grew up, played in the very same stadium you played in… and now I have to say I am the 22nd head coach.”
Additionally, Deion showed love through his caption, as he wrote, “You deserve it! Love you and appreciate you my brother.
The very next day, Deion also shared another video showing TC talking to the group before heading to Atlanta. Taking control, TC pushed the team to focus on what they had to do and “lock in”.
“It’s all about the business at hand this weekend. Lock it up, buddy. It is impossible without shoulda, woulda, cana. We have to go on and get the business done… Get out here and kick a** and do what we have to do.
Deion will go to Colorado after signing $29.5 million contract
Like Shade room previously reported, Coach Prime has taken over the new head coach position at CU Boulder. The move comes as he nears the end of his third year coaching the team and it can be said that JSU will miss Deion.
Regarding the transfer to the University of Colorado Boulder, Clarion Ledger reports that his five-year contract is worth $29.5 million. However, according to athletic director Rick George, the organization is still working to secure all the funds to pay Coach Prime.
