DeLorean EV revived to debut at Pebble Beach



DeLorean Motors Reimagined confirmed this week that tram concept will be released in August at pebble beach Concours d’Elegance. This all-electric model is seen as the spiritual successor to the original DeLorean (also known as the DMC-12), incorporating its signature bird-wing doors. EV hopes to have shared a teaser clip of its new model (doors and all) in the first day of this monthbut until this week, the company confirm with Vehicle and Driver that the new concept will be introduced at Pebble this fall.

While a series of “sequels” DMC-12s appearance has at work for a while, this project represents a complete pivot for DeLorean Motor Company, which has survived by selling replacement parts to existing DeLorean. For this project, the company Find Joost De Vries (registration), who you might remember from the projects as revived Karma Cars.

This electrical revival was planned to coincides with the 40th anniversary of the original DeLorean. technically it would be 2021. Normally we just say “better late than never”, but if any car company can go back in time, it’s DeLorean, right?
