Delusional Injury Update: Jalen Hurts, Terry McLaurin, Tyler Lockett Breaking News, More Impact Week 15 Decisions Begin

It wasn’t until Week 15, but the rescheduling has come to the NFL once again. COVID has forced both the Washington-Eagles and Seahawks-Rams games on Tuesday at 6 p.m. ET, and while that should offer more players — like Odell Beckham Jr. and Darrell Henderson, both were activated from the sub/COVID roster on Saturday – it also creates more headaches for injured players like Jalen Hurts and Terry McLaurin and players affected by that COVID like Tyler Lockett and Tyler Higbee. Knowing the latest updates will be key, which is why we’ll provide them below until we get started.

Is Jalen Hurts playing Week 15?

UPDATE: Hurts wasn’t on Philadelphia’s final injury report, so he’ll be good to go for the game against Washington on Tuesday.

Injured (ankle) missed Week 13, but he is fully expected to play after the Eagles bye. After full practice on Thursday and Friday, that remains to be expected for Tuesday’s game against Washington.

As long as Hurts is active, he must start in this very favorable match. Hurts owners may be a little worried to see a “Q” next to their name heading for Sunday, but there’s no real reason to worry. If Hurts takes a step back and is an unexpected scratch, then Gardner Minshew will start over and be a solid replacement.

UPDATE WEEKLY 15 MONDAY:
Thielen | Mayfield | Landry / Hooper

Did Terry McLaurin play Week 15?

UPDATE: McLaurin wasn’t named on Washington’s final injury report, so he’ll be good to go for Tuesday’s game against the Eagles.

McLaurin (concussion) will have to clear concussion protocols to be activated for Tuesday’s game against Philadelphia, but after full practice on Thursday and Friday, he seems very suitable.

Scary Terry has been disappointing in five of his past six games, so given how important this one is to fantasy owners, it might be best to leave him on the bench. yours – especially with Kyle Allen (or worse) slated to start. However, we know McLaurin has an upside down style, so there’s nothing wrong with putting him in your WR3 or flex position. If he goes out, let’s hope DeAndre Carter, Ricky Seals-Jones and Curtis Samuel see more targets.

Is Tyler Lockett playing Week 15?

Lockett was placed on the sub/COVID roster on Thursday, but with the Seahawks-Rams game moving to Tuesday, it’s unclear if he will still have a chance to play. It will all depend on whether Lockett is considered vaccinated and whether he can come back two negative tests within 24 hours of each other before Tuesday’s game.

At this point, fantasy owners should not count on Lockett being available. If you wait for him to come out, have a shot from Tuesday’s games ready. Top picks will include Jalen Reagor, Freddy Swain, Dee Eskridge, DeAndre Carter and Curtis Samuel (if active).

Is Tyler Higbee playing Week 15?

Just like Lockett, Higbee’s status is rising. He was initially put on the reserve/COVID list on Monday, then he left that list, only to be brought back on Friday. It’s hard to imagine him being freed in time in Tuesday’s game against the Seahawks, but the situation is obviously quite flexible.

Higbee is below average this year anyway, so fantasy owners shouldn’t count on him for a must-win week. Possible pillars include Ricky Seals-Jones and Gerald Everett, and there’s an argument to be made that both are better plays than Higbee.
