DENVER – Denver police are investigating the theft of a box containing a human head from a parked freight company truck, officials said Saturday.
In an email, police said the box was being transported for medical research purposes.
Someone broke into the truck while it was parked between Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning, Denver broadcaster KDVR reported.
Police said the blue-and-white box was marked with the label “Exempt Person Model”. A dolly was also stolen from the truck.
No arrests have been made since Saturday and investigators are asking anyone who finds the box to call police.
