Despite the eShop’s impending closure, the developer is bringing seven new games to the 3DS and Wii U
Australian indie developer Jerrel Dulay announced that he’s bringing seven new titles to the Wii U and 3DS eShops this year – despite the fact that Nintendo is closing the digital storefront for the two systems.
In a press release, Dulay said that the move was in response to news of the closure and “significant fan demand” for the game.
Here is Dulay’s statement:
We’ve announced 7 new titles that will launch exclusively on Nintendo Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. What!? Why!? In response to Nintendo’s recent announcement of the end of eShop sales for the Wii U and 3DS, and due to significant fan demand, we’re bringing the final 7 games to these consoles. Most of these titles are games that we developed for the Wii U and 3DS, but either moved major development to the Switch or were canceled altogether. After some discussions with Nintendo, we organized to bring these titles back to the Wii U and 3DS as a way to celebrate those consoles and the eShop.
The seven games are:
- Silver Falls – The White Inside It (Wii U)
- Silver Falls – Gaiden (Wii U)
- Silver Falls – Undertakers (Wii U)
- Silver Falls – Guardians and Destroyers of Metal (3DS)
- Silver Waterfall – Funeral (3DS)
- Silver Waterfall – The Vicarious Brothers (3DS)
- Silver Falls – Gaiden Death Illusion Terminator (3DS)
The Silver Falls series both take place in the same fictional town. There’s no exact release date (or pricing) for these games yet, but Dulay says the first game will be released in Q2 2022.
