Destiny 2’s Halloween event has arrived with new Gundam-style armor
As someone who lacks the technical skills and ability to create my own Gundam-style Super Sentai suit, I’ll happily tackle a video game where I give my characters one. Imagine my luck: Fate 2The Halloween makeover version is back for the month, and it’s bringing some unbranded Gundam cosplay with it.
This year, Festival of the Lost is more than just Fate 2Goofy annual Halloween celebration, but the launch of three new armor sets won a fan contest last spring. As a result, the Gundam-style armor is quite flying and is the focus of the Festival launch trailer.
Unfortunately, the armor is not a gift, but is available for purchase through the in-game Eververse store. They can be purchased for 1,500 Silver (Life 2premium currency purchased with real money – worth about $15) or 6,000 Bright Dust, a sizable amount of the game’s free in-game currency. So unless you’ve carefully saved your Dust, you’ll have to shell out some pennies for these looks.
Otherwise, the Festival is basically unchanged from previous years – players will wear makeshift masks of goofy while completing “haunted areas” that add ghosts and vampires to some of the game’s existing Lost Sector mini-dungeons. Wear a mesh mask you candies. The candies are then exchanged for in-game gifts.
Just like last year, a new weapon will be introduced during the festival: the Mechabre sniper rifle. Understood? Because mechs. And Halloween. Machine! Not a bad pun.
Like most seasonal events, players can start the festival by checking their Events card in the Missions tab in the game and exchanging candies with Eva Levante in the Tower.
The Festival of the Missing takes place from October 18 to November 8.
