Details Isuzu D-Max X-Rider 2023, open orders
Isuzu Vietnam revealed a limited edition variant of the update D-Max ute, which revives the nameplate last seen in 2019 on the previous generation model.
The Isuzu D-Max X-Rider based on the dual-cabin LS-M 4×4 and is being called the “ultimate all-rounder”.
It starts at $58,000 before on-road costs, $2700 more expensive than the LS-M dual-cabin variant it’s based on.
Orders for the D-Max X-Rider are currently open and only 1020 will arrive in Australia.
Power comes from only one 3.0 liter four-cylinder diesel engine manufacturing 140kW power and 450Nm of torque. It’s mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with drive sent through an all-wheel drive system.
Like all D-Max 4×4 models, there are switchable 2H, 4H and 4L options along with a standard rear differential lock. There is also a steel underbody protection for the container and transfer case.
Seeing as the D-Max X-Rider is based on the LS-M, it also comes with heavy-duty rear leaf suspension, instead of the usual rear leaf suspension.
This limited edition D-Max sets itself apart from the rest of the lineup with its 17-inch gloss black alloy wheels, black two-tone grille, black sports bars, colored side sills. Dark gray, soft lid, X-Rider badging, Black exterior trim.
It also comes with features including auto-levelling bi-LED headlights, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay, wired Android Auto, vinyl flooring and fabric upholstery.
The D-Max X-Rider is available in only three colors – Mineral White, Basalt Black Mica and Granite Gray Mica.
This second paint option was introduced as part of the Detailed recent 2023 model updateand was previously exclusive to the flagship X-Terrain model only.
Isuzu D-Max, as well as related products MU-X and Mazda BT-50 to be retested by the Australian crash test agency ANCAP in December last year and again received a five-star safety rating.
This comes after the D-Max, MU-X and BT-50 models manufactured since July 2022 received design changes to the driver’s knee and dashboard.
