LAS VEGAS – Devin Haney will be looking to defend his fourth WBC lightweight championship when he faces mandatory challenger Joseph “JoJo” Diaz Jr on Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden.
Haney returned to action six months after winning a unanimous decision against Jorge Linares. Diaz will make his third appearance in 2021 after a decisive win over Javier Fortuna in July and a majority draw against Shavkat Rakhimov in February.

The fight will add clarity to a division already shaken by the stunning victory of George Kambosos Jr. against Teofimo Lopez to win the WBA, WBO, IBF and WBC (Franch) titles. There is a high probability that the winner Haney-Diaz will face the Kambosos for the final result.
