Director Joel Souza Breaks Silence About Halyna Hutchins’ Death
Director Joel Souza has issued an announcement as he recovers from accidents sustained in an unintentional on-set capturing, which led to the loss of life of his co-worker, cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.
The 42-year-old director of pictures died after being shot by a prop gun that solid member and co-producer Alec Baldwin fired on the set of Souza’s movie Rust on a New Mexico ranch on Thursday, Oct. 21. Souza, 48, was handled at a hospital for his accidents earlier than being launched. Police are investigating the incident.
“I’m gutted by the lack of my pal and colleague, Halyna,” the director stated in an announcement to NBC Information on Saturday, Oct. 22, in what marked his first public feedback concerning the capturing. “She was type, vibrant, extremely gifted, fought for each inch and at all times pushed me to be higher.
