Disney’s Susan Arnold to succeed Bob Iger as Chairman of the Board – The Hollywood Reporter
The Board of Directors of The Walt Disney Company has appointed Susan Arnold, a 14-year member of the board, as its new chairman to succeed outgoing Bob Iger.
Arnold will begin serving as chairman of the board on December 31, after Iger leaves the company at the end of the year.
“Susan is a highly respected executive whose breadth of experience, unwavering integrity and expert judgment have been invaluable to the Company since she joined the Board. governance for the first time in 2007,” Iger said in a statement. “Susan is the perfect choice for the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors, and I am confident that the Company is well positioned to continue to succeed under her leadership and guidance. It has been an honor to work with Susan and many of our other talented directors, and I am immensely grateful for the support and wise advice they have provided during my tenure. ”
