DJI Avata FPV Drone with 4K Ultra Wide Support, Propeller Protection Launched: Price, Specifications


The DJI Ava first-person view (FPV) drone launched on Thursday. It is designed to work in tandem with the new DJI Goggles 2 and the DJI Motion Controller for an immersive flying experience. It has a compact and lightweight design designed for tight spaces. Additionally, this drone comes with built-in propeller guards, which are said to be able to cause it to bounce back and stay airborne if it comes into contact with an obstacle during flight. The DJI Avata FPV drone supports super wide-angle 4K recording and comes with image stabilization features like RockSteady 2.0 and HorizonSteady.

DJIDJI Avatar’s New FPV Drone is Available on official website for $629 (about Rs 50,000). There are also two combos available that include accessories along with the DJI FPV V2/DJI Goggles 2 Goggles and DJI Motion Controllers priced at $1,168 and $1,388.

DJI Avatar Specifications and Features

The DJI Avata FPV drone is equipped with a 48-megapixel 1/1.7-inch CMOS sensor with f/2.8 aperture. It supports 155-degree ultra-wide-angle 4K recording. This drone comes with RockSteady 2.0 and HorizonSteady technology to reduce camera shake and ensure smooth video recording.

It is powered by a 2420mAh battery that is said to offer up to 18 minutes of flight time. The DJI Avatar is said to have a maximum flight range of about 11.6km. There is also up to 20GB of built-in memory. The drone has a rugged design with built-in propeller guards. It is said to have an operating temperature range of -10 to 40 degrees Celsius.

The DJI Avata FPV drone features a downward binocular sight and a ToF infrared sensor that detects obstacles beneath the drone during indoor and low-altitude flights. It also includes a Turtle mode feature that aids it back if the drone falls back on its back.

This drone is equipped with an omnidirectional antenna that can provide 1080p video transmission at up to 100 fps with a maximum video delay of 30 milliseconds. The DJI Avatar is claimed to have a video transmission range of up to 10km.
