‘Doctor Who’ 60th Anniversary Special Teaser with David Tennant – The Hollywood Reporter
Teaser for 60th anniversary special episode Which doctor?released on Sunday, not only does David Tennant return as the Doctor, but it also features Catherine Tate as Donna Noble and Neil Patrick Harris as an eccentric and unknown villain.
Based on the minute-long clip, fans can expect more action, monsters, etc in the upcoming installment of the series, which is scheduled for release in November 2023. The special episodes will celebrate commemorated the film’s release in 1963 and was later revived in 2005, with Tennant, who had previously starred in Which doctor? for five years, return to TARDIS as the lord of time.
Which doctor? also posted on the show’s Instagram revealing that Jacqueline King and Karl Collins will be returning to reprise the roles of Sylvia Noble and Shaun Temple in the special episodes, respectively. Ruth Madeley is introduced as Shirley Anne Bingham.
At the end of the short teaser, Ncuti Gatwa, who was cast as the 15th Doctor, quickly appeared. His character says, “Will someone tell me what the hell is going on here?” — a question fans also want to know, but they’ll have to wait until the special anniversary episodes come out next year.
In early December, a first look was revealed of Gatwa as the series’ next Doctor, as well as his sidekick Millie Gibson as Ruby Sunday. The 14th season is likely to hit theaters in 2024.
